Week 7 - Day 2

Ta-da! I have completed another 25 minute run, much to my amazement. How is it at the age of 44 I can amaze myself?

Today I used a Podrunner podcast to run with, since I didn't need Robert Ullrey's podcast cues for when to start and stop running. I used a 143-bpm techno track to run with and found that it kept my feet moving, and moving, and moving. It was great.

Other news...I saw a pheasant in our backyard this morning. And I didn't run outside in the fresh air yesterday as I had thought I might. The couch potato rises again.

Go, you! I have a really short attention span. I wonder how I'll be able to handle running 25 minutes straight...

I haven't run in a week, but that's ok. I'm still a little sick and life has been crazy, so I'll just wait and see how I feel on Tuesday.

As for pheasants, is it just me or they the most uptight birds around? And also terribly frightening. Not that they're scary birds, but if I go walking out in my sister's field, a pheasant will invariably BURST out of the brush and scare the shiitake out of me.

Thanks for commenting on my blog. I hope you're feeling better. I'm behind in blogging because the power has been out, but I'm not behind in my C25K schedule and will post an update soon.

Pheasants and quail are both pretty neat birds -- they hunker in fear as you walk by, then explode out when they're sure you're going to see them. My pheasant was pretty much out in the open.

That's great that you're keeping up with the program! I'm still not 100% better (from the stomach flu), so I won't be running this week. ARRRRGH.
